OUR MISSION
At Sthapati Kalp — Sthapati (architect) and Kalpana (imagination), the Architect of Your Dreams — our name is a value we uphold in every space we design.
We treat architecture as a living tradition, guiding each project by the principles of Indian Vastu Shastra to bring direction, energy and balance into everyday life.
Alongside tradition, we design with responsibility toward the earth — sustainability and climate-responsive thinking shape our material choices, orientation and ventilation from the start.
Our mission is simple: to build spaces that honour where we come from, respect the ground we build on, and give shape to the dreams entrusted to us.
THE MEANING BEHIND STHAPATI KALP
Sthapati Kalp is a legacy brand, born from the divine power and blessings of Ma Durga, the mother of all arts and sciences.
The name draws from Sanskrit — Sthapati (architect) and Kalpana (imagination) — together meaning “Architect of Your Dreams.”
Our logo carries that meaning forward. Ma Durga’s third eye represents wisdom and cosmic energy; her nose ring symbolises grace, healing and balance — the same spirit we try to bring into every space we design.
Born of personal faith and shaped by heartfelt creativity, Sthapati Kalp is a tribute to divine guidance, where tradition meets visionary artistry, and spirituality lives within architecture and design.
ARCHITECTURE IS WHERE WE BELONG
Ar. Roopa Roy is the founder of Sthapati Kalp, bringing nearly 2.5 decades of work record behind her. A natural talent, she won the ‘Outstanding’ prodigy artist award bestowed by the Jaycees Club at just 5 years old.
Her grit and determination have led to felicitations by the Archbishop of Bangalore for her contribution to Architecture.
She is an active academic contributor, serving as guest faculty at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bengaluru, and has had her works published in leading Indian Design magazines.”
